Photoshop + After Effects + Nuendo for editing sounds previously recorded during filming and also some soundscapes I had already edited in the past for the purpose of using as roomtones and distant city scapes. Quick, nice and no copyright issues. The font is also free.

Algumas fotografias antigas meio experimentais, numa estação de comboios aqui em Gaia. Usei câmaras analógicas e digitais muito “low end” e “delirei” no tratamento da cor.

Esta é uma curta-metragem, com cerca de 30 minutos de duração, feita há alguns meses atrás como projecto académico de conclusão de curso.  Nele, fui responsável pelo trabalho de câmara, imagem, edição e grafismos. Esta é uma versão para efeitos de “net video reel” (inventei esta agora) – recomprimida para ocupar 500 MB, 720×406, stereo. A versão original está finalizada e disponível em HD 720p, Dolby 5.1, legendado em Português (sim, português!), Francês e Inglês.  Aqui ficam sinopses em várias línguas. Adicionarei também traduções em klingon, c++ e aramaico nos próximos tempos.

Richard vagueia durante a noite por entre marginais, numa cidade decadente e abandonada. Um confronto inesperado com uma verdade incómoda vai mudar o rumo da noite lançando Richard numa intensa emboscada emocional, onde traição e vingança são palavras de ordem.

Richard wanders among the lower life of a decadent and neglected city. However, a sudden confrontation with an unpleasant reality will send him on an intense emotional ride, where betrayal and revenge are inescapably tied.

Here’s an old song, one of my first ever! Well… maybe not really a song but a sort of string of programmed patterns, with some structure to it but not really completed. I found the “weird sample” on a xi collection and couldn’t get enough of it – literally! This dates back to 1997/98 (12 years ago!) and to my early experiments with music so bear with me! It was made with Fast Tracker II – an old MS-DOS tracker that really kicked ass back in the days. It was light sized and packed a lot of features. I remember running it on my windows 95 Pentium 133 mHz with a staggering 16 megs of ram and a vast 1.3 gb disk. Funny how my files survived the onslaught of hard drive formats, viruses, failures, upgrades, etc. Not many people I know keep such old files. Also, this is no ripoff from other modules or anything of the sort. It was all sequenced by me – hence the simplicity.
